To have Network Time reset the time each time you restart your Macintosh, click this box.
To have Network Time reset the time every so often in the background, click this box. You can set how often by changing the value in the “hours” box.
To have Network Time display a message on the screen if an error occurs while setting the time, click this box.
To have Network Time try to set the time again in a few minutes if an error occurs, click this box. You can set how many minutes to wait by changing the value in the “mins” box.
To have Network Time wait until MacTCP is actually opened before it attempts to set the time, click this box. This is useful if you use MacTCP over a network you must connect to by hand such as ARA, PPP or SLIP.
To have Network Time only use the new NTP protocol to set the time, click this box. As it is set now, Network Time will fail-over to the old UDP Time protocol if NTP isn’t available.
Type the number of minutes Network Time should wait to try to set the time again if an error occurs while Network Time is operating in the background. The value must be between 1 and 35791 minutes.
Type the number of hours between time resets when Network Time is operating in the background. The value must be between 1 and 596 hours.
To change the accuracy with which Network Time will try to set the time, type the number of seconds in this box. The value must be between 1 and 60 seconds.
Type the address of the time server in this box. This must be a valid Internet address of a machine on your network that can answer an NTP or UDP Time request. See your network administrator or the manual for information.
To create a Network Time system extension, click this icon. This will create a preconfigured version of Network Time whose settings cannot be changed. The current settings will be used for the system extension.

To set the time on your Macintosh, click this button. The time server will be verified if this has not yet been done.
